Finding Your Size
In the Bundeswehr system, every chest and height combination is assigned to a number designation, the Nr.Gr. size. Each Nr.Gr. number can be directly translated to standard NATO sizing, so once you know your number you're set for most military clothing.
Measure your total height and your chest. If your measurements come between two different height sizes, it is recommended to go for the bigger size. Find the row with your height in it, then find the column with your chest size; the number in the box where they meet is your size.
If you have any questions about sizing, don't hesitate to open a chat with us.

Dating all the way back to the 60s, "Schneetarn" (Literally snow camouflage) is designed specifically to be used in very snowy terrain. The added "pine needle" splotches break up the white backdrop allowing for concealment in the likely scenario that the wintery wonderland you're hiding in isn't 100% snow-covered. It's surprisingly simple for the Germans, but it works wonders.
Featured here on "overwhites", the idea is that soldiers can throw these garments over the top of all the rest of their gear, so a full additional set of winter-camo-colored kit isn't needed. The fabric is lightweight, and the fit is oversized for maximum mobility.
and if it gets even snowier, the garment is fully reversible to a full-white pattern so you can haunt your enemies like a yeti...

Sizing
These follow the standard Bundeswehr sizing system but keep in mind, they are VERY oversized to fit over as much equipment as possible. You'll base your selection off of your chest size, but for easy reference:
Bundeswehr Size | US Size | Height (cm) | Chest Circumference (cm) |
Size 2 | XL Short | 160-170 | 100-110 |
Size 3 | L Regular | 170-180 | 95-105 |
Size 4 | XL Regular | 170-180 | 105-115 |
Size 5 | L Long | 180-190 | 90-100 |
Size 6 | XL Long | 180-190 | 100-110 |

Probably dating myself a little bit, but I’ve wanted a set of this camo since I first saw it in the US cavalry catalog in the early 90s. Well built, well thought out and a very effective pattern (I have the poncho already). Can’t wait to try it out this winter!
Very cool addition to your kit. Fits over my large-tall M81 cold weather jacket with room to spare for gear (I ordered a size 4 schneetarn suit). The trousers are easy to put on over existing clothing. Haven’t tested to see how water repellent they are… but nice and light outer layer for camouflage.
Well, snow is white, this suit is white. It snowed in April so I used it to hide in the snow. I would avoid yellow snow but otherwise the suit does what it’s designed to do.
