While still heavily influenced by their big brother in the east, the East Germans simply couldn’t help themselves but be German and say “what if we could make our uniforms more complicated for the lulz?” So they adopted Strichtarn, contrasting to the dull & gray uniforms from over the wall. The now-iconic “rain” pattern was originally developed in Warsaw-Pact Poland, and became a highly proliferated camo in Czechoslovakia & Bulgaria as well.
While somewhat ineffective as a camouflage outside the Great Plains, or Angola, Strichtarn can work extremely well as a fashionable urban surplus enjoyer’s camouflage. Or if you are trying to equip a rebel force on the African Subcontinent. With its numerous pockets and simple yet rugged construction it’s perfect for impersonating everyone's favorite flavor of Germany, Holy Roman Empire aside, while still looking like you have an idea of what fashion looks like.

Needed a field shirt to match my also like new pants and this definitely fits the look. Is in excellent shape and the medium fits perfect with a enough room to wear something like a hoodie underneath.

Fits nicely. It’s a nice, old-school alternative to my very first purchase that was the Wellenbrecher shirt.
Only complaint is that a few of the button holes were sewn up a bit for some reason (the holes weren’t completely sewn shut, but the buttons couldn’t go through). Used a seam ripper to cut them back to size so I could button up the shirt.
P.S. Ordered this at the end of September, a day before the October sale. Customer service offered me a discount code as compensation which was very cool of them.

The shirt fits me great, and it arrived in excellent condition - cozy surplus smell included.
No tears in the fabric, no stains or discolouration.
I'm looking forward to warmer seasons when I can wear it more comfortably.
Shipping took longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait!

It takes 1 month to get the package to Malaysia. I guess that's what I get for purchasing the lowest delivery price. Great quality. Love the smells when I opened the package. There's a slight defect on the sleeve, probably been used by soldier of that period but that's how I like it. Pre loved. For the southeast asian people who wants to buy something from kommandostore I suggested to be patient as it takes a time to get to your country.
