Raytheon ELCAN Optical Technologies (Ernest Leitz CANada) makes some of the most unique prism optics on the market, and we were elated to get our hands on some.
These are the M145 Machine Gun Optics, used on the M240 and M249 machine gun, and featuring battery powered LED reticle illumination in amber for maximum early 2000s aesthetic. They're known for their legendary shock & water resistance much like the Trijicon ACOGs, and are known to retain zero even with repeated removal and re-attachment.
The reticle is where things get a little weird - they're designed for the M240, and while mechanically the sight itself is similar to the M4 variant, the reticle is designed for a machine gun. It features several crosshairs marked with specific distances, and once the gun was sighted in, the user could quickly engage targets at a distance without having to adjust the sight any further.
- M240 Reticle for 7.62x51 Ballistics
- 3.4x Magnification
- Housing cover included
- Torque Knob MIL-STD-1913 Mount
- 21oz with battery
- LED Illumination of Reticle Center
- Uses DL1/3N 3V Lithium Batteries, but can be used without
- Waterproof to a depth of 20 meters
Optic is in excellent condition, with clean glass and reticle. Housing may be painted or have small scratches, but that's what you want for your clone build right?
