Waxi boots run large, we recommend going a size down from what you usually wear.
The 'Full Combat' Waxi boot is the taller, more rugged variant of our 'half combat' Waxis that we've sold for years now. What sets them apart from other full-height leather combat boots is the things that make a Waxi boot a Waxi boot — lightweight breathable leather, tennis-shoe-like flexibility, and a wide toebox. Unlike our other Waxi boots, it features a double-buckled lace guard for extra durability; It'll shrug off thick brush, caked-on mud, and deep sand with ease.
They are light weight and easy to move in; with a pretty short break-in period. Only only real complaint is the lack of jungle boot style drain/vent holes.
These boots are fantastic, nice wide toe box. I tool these with me on deployment. Super comfortable, and they give a ton of support. They are surprisingly very water resistant. Will definitely get another pair in black..
The boots are good.
But in all seriousness, there are some pros and cons.
First things first, I feel as though I need to commend Kommandostore for their great customer service. I pre-ordered these boots and when they finally arrived, they ended up being a size too big and I had changed my mind on the original black color and half combat style I decided on originally. So they worked with me and sent me a new pair in cognac brown and full combat style. Thank you guys I love you XOXOXOXO :)
Now that that's out of the way, let's get into the cons, the laces are woefully short. The laces they come with are, no joke, about 53 inches. Which in a boot with 10 eyelets that's just goofy. I bought a new pair of 72-inch flat waxed cotton laces and that solved the problem. Next, the tongue leather is very cheap. I understand that these are meant for hot weather conditions, but the leather is so thin I am worried I'll rip it just by pulling on it while getting my foot in the boot. Thankfully it hasn't yet, but I am planning on visiting my local cobbler to ask if they can replace the tongue with a stronger and thicker leather. Thirdly is the insole. It's trash. It's just a thin veneer of a tan cotton-like material on a flimsy foam bottom. Not to mention the foam is equally thin and barely there. Finally, and probably my biggest complaint, is the fact that this boot doesn't appear to be a goodyear welted boot. They advertise it as one, but from what I can tell this is a 360° stitch down…
Fits well, it says "6W" on the inside but I think that translates to a US 7W. Seem pretty sturdy.

They are really well constructed boots. They fit nicely and are a great value. I wholly recommend them. definitely follow the sizing chart for the best fit possible. I do recommend getting gel inserts for added comfort.
