Italian Ordnance Transport Box
Product Details & Guides
This genuine Italian Army surplus, polyethylene transport box (for splodey things) features two carrying handles, six quick-release metal latches, a stackable design, and timeless classic OD green coloring. Outside dimensions ~24.4 x 12.2 x 11.8 in (~62 x 31 x 30cm), interior ~22.4 x 10.2 x 10.8 in (~57 x 26 x 27.5cm), weighs about ~10.8 lbs (4.9kg) empty. Used but fully functional, with the cosmetic battle scars to prove it.
Six latches is a premium amount of latches for a box this size, probably due to unstable nature of its original contents, which are sadly unavailable. The Esercito Italiano really, really did not want this thing opening accidentally.

- Interior comes to roughly 40,750 cm³, about 2,486 cubic inches of pure, unclaimed butter potential. Accounting for the inevitable packing losses you get from cramming rectangular dairy bricks into a box with six overzealous latches, you're landing somewhere around 180-220 sticks of butter, or 45-55 lbs of creamy gold.
-
That's enough butter to single-handedly trigger a NATO Article 5 discussion about the strategic dairy reserves of a small Italian village, enough to trigger a Lipitor shortage, enough to make every pasta dish in a 50km radius unreasonably rich, and, should the box ever be opened by customs, more than enough to convince an inspector that whatever this was originally designed to transport, it almost certainly wasn't this.
“Stackable, sealed, OD green, built to survive a depot, a truck bed, and at minimum one Italian corporal using it as a chair during a smoke break that technically wasn't authorized.” *Takes drag.* “That’s one nice box you got there. I think I’d appreciate a nice box like that.”
