The Romanian M74 Gas Mask might look remarkable similar to something else on the site. Wait... the Romanians stealing something from the Germans? Well this time around it wasn't stealing per say, but a licensed copy. For once...
The Romanian M74 Gasmask has a few rather interesting quirks that set it apart from it's German/Austrian counterpart, the M65. From our brief overview it appears that this shipment contains pre-2000, GOST 40mm threaded samples.
With its durable and arguably fashionable carrying satchel, the M74 comes with a modern CFF3 filter manufactured post 2000 that is asbestos free, but we can only recommend the filters for display use only. Have you been a victim of mesothelioma?

Condition
Gas Masks are in excellent condition, with no tears, stains, or cuts to the facepiece, harness, or lenses. Lenses may have minor orange-ish UV fading, but this just lets you see the world with a Fallout: New Vegas, or Breaking Bad Mexico™ filter. Rubber is intact, but we'd always recommend checking yours for a proper seal (keep in mind though, these are Display Purposes only ;)
We'd also recommend before any use to clean your gas mask to remove any residue or talcum powder from storage.
Filters are technically unused, but again we want to remind you these are for Display Purposes only.
Sizing
While all sizes can fit, the proper size is the one that seals to your face and doesn't squeeze your skin too hard. A size small might fit but that doesn't mean it covers the vital parts or contours of your face to create a proper and safe seal. Size 2 (medium-large) seems to be the catch all with small (1) and large (3) being extremes.
Gas mask sizing is tricky. The size that fits is "the size that fits."
