The long lived M2008 camo was iterated on quite a bit over Turkey's history, and in the midst of a few interesting political changes in their country, Turkey moved away from the pattern in 2018, leaving boatloads of M2008 surplus behind, like this assault vest.
Turkey's military saw your dads commercial fishing vest and decided that was the perfect platform for their own military's assault vest (based).
The vest features 5 single magazine pouches made for G3 magazines (but also can fit AK and AR pattern magazines as well), along with two slightly smaller GP/grenade pouches up top. On the back, adjustment of the vest is accomplished with 3 buckle sliders, and there's a quasi-dump pouch, as well as a knife sheathe and another smaller GP pouch.
Why did the Turkish set up their vest like this? No one knows, but it certainly does the job.
Some of the vests in the batch also feature a large backpack pouch, similar in size to a US butt pack. Warehouse Ivan's autism was thoroughly tickled so he has sorted those out, so if you'd like extra storage, that's the version to go for.

Assault Vests are generally in great condition, with only mild signs of wear at most (no tears, cuts, major stains, or holes), and all hardware (zippers, buttons, etc) present and functional.
Sizing
We've translated the Turkish vest sizing to US sizes. These vests have quite a wide range of adjustment. We've found even the Size 1 (S-M) will fit up to a Large (42in chest circumference) size user with ease.

I haven’t had a chance to use this yet, but it fits well, adjusts easily and seems to have great load out potential. This will be great for taking to the range or LARPing in the basement.
Bought this as a grab-n-go rig for my G3.
The bayonet frog works with a variety of options. I've confirmed AR/M4 bayos, AK bayos, and Glock brand Glock knives all work well. Mine came with the "assault pack" and it's perfect for stashing an ifak and some rain gear, or whatever else you want to carry with you through the Anatolian Steppe as you fiddle with your anti-suicide trigger guard on your G3.
I’m very pleased with the assault vest, it fits perfectly and even though I don’t own a AK i do have some ARs and the magazine holders are still the perfect size for my AR mags. I will get some pics of me in the vest with my mags in the magazine holders tomorrow when I get home but all in all I am very happy with this product
Originally bought this vest to carry beers and it fits this role perfectly! The lower front pockets can carry cans or single STANAGS depending on what kind of day you’re planning and the drawstring canteen pouch ensures you won’t go thirsty. Throw an MRE in the included backpack and you’ll have everything you need for a fun day of LARPing at your local flat range. Miscellaneous pocket goodies (N95 masks and various cigarettes in my case) also influenced my fondness for this vest. Thank you Turkish Conscript 🥰
Excellent quality assault vest. You can’t go wrong with H3 pouches in front, then GP/grenade pouches up top. Reach over the back to take your knife/small ninja sword from the sheathe, and you’re in business. This version also has a backpack pouch (and another GP pouch) on back—-to store captured intel. Yes, US (and South African) assault vest aren’t arranged like this, but there’s something to be said about “there’s nothing behind my back” trick! Great deal! Great fit—very adjustable too.
