We have some exciting progress to report — our very first physical prototype!
The first sample is in, and we already have the next samples under development. Our first iteration is based on an N3-B parka, the same jacket that the one in game is based off of. The goal with this sample was to confirm materials, and a few changes we knew we wanted to make immediately....

We’ve increased the size of the hood to accommodate a helmet and match the look of the ruff in game better. We’re also cropping the parka by around 4 inches to make it fit more like a jacket, and allow access to your belt, which also makes it look more like the game.
We’re planning on further improving the hood shape, fleece around the neck, and the length of the fur. The shoulder seam, sleeve fit, and inner cuff are also getting mobility improvements.

4 inches, does, in fact, make all the difference. Take notes.
To keep the opening of the jacket locked in place, we added elastic hooks that latch on to the plate carrier and belt. This way your workspace is clean, and you stay looking good. We also added shock cord adjustment at the hem and the waist to bring in any excess fabric.
In-game, the hound wolf crew either have a pen pocket or velcro on their left arm. So we developed a way to have both. The pen pocket is a removable velcro field, so you can run patches, or the pocket depending on what you prefer.

Here's that elastic with the hook.
The original parka is pretty heavy, so we are using insulation similar to thinsulate. This will help it weigh less while keeping you just as warm.
The last changes will be the final colors. Even though it looks very close, this first parka sample was for materials only.
Overall, we’re really happy with how these changes came out — the next samples will focus on matching the exact look in game. We’ll update you again when those come in and we’ve had time to assess them!
