Just days after our last update, a semi-trailer at the border to Uzbekistan containing “prohibited” cargo had said cargo arrested, along with all the other cargo onboard. That truck also contained important materials like buttons, elastic, and webbing for the MW2 Gorka. Although our shipment was unrelated to lord-knows-what was in the trailer, customs won’t release our goods, so it seems these materials are doomed to become collateral damage.

The good news? we can source more trims, no problem. However, this means that we will no longer be launching MW2 as a pre-sale this Black Friday. Instead we will be launching it as a Ready-To-Ship item sometime early next year. This is for two reasons:
1. Wait time on new materials.
Our new trim pieces have been purchased, but they share a mix of their own production and ship times to the manufacturer.

2. Production was interrupted mid-process.
The production of gorkas was halted partway through due to the trims not arriving on time. This scenario in manufacturing makes it even more important for us to be rigorous about QC. When production does resume, we will be sending two very trusted people who work with Modox over to the production facility to direct production and inspect the remainder of the Gorkas. However, to fully ensure the quality and correct amount of inventory received. It is best to not launch until we have had a chance to inspect the suits ourselves again at the warehouse...
In the end, this means very little delay for when people would be able to receive their suits anyways. It’s just a change of when we make the suits available for sale.

To take advantage of the increased timeline until launch, we have expanded the scope of our supporting content goals. We’re taking a deep dive on more of the gear and guns used in the game, cloning the gear as best as we can with commonly available pieces on the market. We’re really excited to share our results with you on the big day. On top of this we are also taking a fresh look at any other fun merch we might be able to include as extra to the launch.
